Happy Thanksgiving! 🍁🦃 Today I got up and did a bunch of housework. Changed all the beds and ran laundry and put up laundry and cleaned the hamster cage and vacuumed and bathed the girl child and blew out her hair and bounced them on the trampoline so I’m thankful for our little house and enough energy to do house chores and take care of my kids. I couldn’t always do that. I’m thankful for my babies, who are currently working together to figure out how to get a sticky hand off the ceiling. And we’ve already eaten and the kitchen is clean, the former thanks to Thanksgiving takeout and the latter to my last burst of housework. We’re going to play outside after the sticky hand is rescued and after that I will hopefully be thankful for a nap!

Getting a bit frosty out there…and I’m realizing I haven’t posted anything in forever and that’s because I’ve had kids home sick with colds and ear infections for two weeks straight and I don’t have much interesting to say about that. In other news, I got my new glasses! Aaaaaand I still haven’t adjusted to the prescription. But I love the frames.

Feeling nice and autumnal out there in my neck of the woods! Though I’m really not into the fall back time change with darkness setting in so early. Sigh. Other happenings in my neck of the woods—I broke my glasses. As a severely nearsighted person, this is real bad. They’ve been super glued and had been hanging in until the toddler knocked me in the face twice in the same night and they broke twice more and every time I glue the earpiece back on I accidentally smudge a little super glue on the lens. Things are a little blurry over here. I’ve been doing the find-new-frames dance where you put in old contacts you can’t really see out of and try to choose frames while squinting and taking selfies. 🤓👓
